Craniosacral Biodynamics (BCST)in Fremantle.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a non-manipulative physical touch therapy that helps create, maintain and express health and vitality in the human system.
BCST has evolved to include influences from human development, pre and perinatal psychology, trauma resolution and recent advances in neuroscience.
BCST supports nervous system regulation and allows the resolution of our imprints and protection resulting from stress and trauma.
Practitioners use an educated, gentle, non-invasive touch to engage with the expressions of health in the system.
Cranial work originated back in the early 1900’s with discoveries by Osteopath Dr William Garner Sutherland.
Dr Sutherland was fascinated by the bones of the skull and realised that although he was taught that the joints of the skull were fused together at adolescence, this was not so. In fact, they were designed to accommodate movement and fluctuations.
He found that the restriction of different areas of the skull affected bodies and health in different ways. He then focused on the process of Primary Respiration – which is the breathing and movement of body tissues and fluids.
He wrote about an approach where no external force was used and the potency in the system was invited to initiate and carry out its own reorganisational processes.
He referred to this as the ‘Intelligence of the Body’.
The cranial approach was carried on through a lineage of Osteopaths, the most prominent being DO Rollin Becker and DO James Jealous. I look forward to sharing this transformative, subtle and impactful modality of body and nervous system care with you.
